Where all these are Telugu medium schools, St.Mary's school is the first English medium school in the mandal. [edit]Religion main religion is hinduism.the main temples inthis village were " LORD VENUGOPALASWAMY TEMPLE, LORD SHIVA TEMPLE, and also RAMALAYAM.secondly Christianity. YATHAVAKILLA: It is one of the village in mattamplly.the people mainly depends on the agriculture and fishing. In this village have the mini power plant for producing/generation of current. and transferring this power to miryalaguda divisions. [edit]Shubavartha Devalayam (Annunciation Church)is the main church , which is one of the tallest churches in Andhra Pradesh. Other churches include Balayesu Devalayam, Showrivari Devalayam , Kanukamatha Devalayam and CSI church. [edit]Agriculture Mattampally is mainly an agriculture based village, where a variety of crops such paddy rice, chilli, cotton, and corn are produced.
